Life In The Fast Lane
Beauty Blogger Vox Box!

A few days ago, I posted a photo of the Beauty Blogger Vox Box that I received from Influenster!  Influenster is a website that sends out boxes of products that you review in exchange for feedback. I’ve been a member for over a year and I really enjoy it!  Check it out here:  www.influenster.com

Inside my Beauty Blogger Vox Box, I received:

A Pumpkin Cupcake Mini-Candle from Slatkin & Co.  (Bath & Body Works).  It smells amazing and as soon as I opened the box, I was excited about it.

Ever Pro Lashes from Kiss.  I’ve never used false eyelashes so I can’t wait to try these on!

IndividualEyes Compact from NYC New York Color.  The shades are exactly like what I use.  I am happy and excited to try these as well!

Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream from Not Your Mother’s.  My hair frizzes a lot in winter so I am intrigued by this product.

Spin Pin from Goody Simple Styles.  It’s a hair pin that allows you to try three simple styles with it!  I’ve seen this in stores and I want to try it.

That was the breakdown from my Beauty Blogger Vox Box.  I hope you’re excited to hear the reviews because I’m excited to test everything out!  If you have any questions in the meantime, just ask!  There is a box on the right side of the web page that you can use to ask me questions.  Have a great weekend!

Influenster Site Relaunch!

Now if you read my blog on a semi-regular basis, then you’ve noticed that I’ve had a chance to try a lot of awesome products due to Influenster.  Influenster is a site that sends out boxes of products, based on demographics, interests and various other things, for you to try FREE  in exchange for your opinions and feedback.  They call them ‘vox boxes.’ I’ve gotten a lot of great vox boxes full of free stuff that I’ve loved.  I’ve also won challenges that give you even more free stuff!

Influenster just launched a brand new site and overhauled the way that they do things. They now have an awesome points system that determines how active you are on social media.  The higher your score, the better your chance to receive certain vox boxes and special programs.  You can qualify for certain badges according to your lifestyle and get scored in those areas too.

I think this is a great idea.  I like the concept ‘the harder you work online, the more benefits you get.’  It makes sense to give vox boxes to people who are influential on social media.  They will get the products’ name out and make people think about that brand.  I do wish that they didn’t put a limit on the amount of Expert Badges that a person can get, but there isn’t a limit placed on Lifestyle Badges so I guess it evens out.

I really like the new way that the product reviews are done too. The user gives the product a grade and then fills out a review telling everyone what they thought.  You are also free to add pictures or videos too.  The profiles are more interactive and the site is now invitation-only.  It’s easy to navigate and fun to spend time there.  Everything has an easy layout and the vibe on the site is fun.  I just wish that there was a way to find your friends’ profiles and link to them in order to build your network.  That way, your friends could see which badges you have, which boxes you’ve received and so forth.

It’s a great site, program and relaunch!  I’m happy to be a part of it!  So I hope you check out the relaunch if you haven’t already.  If you’d like to sign up, here’s the link to the site again. www.influenster.com.  Also, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

EBOOST Natural Energy Booster

I had the chance to try EBOOST from a Klout perk awhile ago so when I received it in the Naturals Vox Box from Influenster, I knew I liked it.  Influenster is an invitation-only website that sends out boxes of products to review.  All of the boxes are themed and you receive them complimentary, in exchange for only your feedback.

This morning was rough getting up when the alarm went off.  As most of you know, I am a stay-at-home mom so when I want to go to the gym, I go in the morning at 5:45am.  Last week, it worked in my favor, as I won a box of salt water taffy from a radio station!  Today, it wasn’t that exciting.  After my workout, I was energized but I knew it wouldn’t last long.  So, it was the perfect time to try out my EBOOST!  I mixed it into 8 ounces of water and down the hatch it went.

Did it give me energy?  I can tell you that it’s only 11:45am and I’ve already:

went the gym,

took a shower,

fed the dog and baby,

did laundry,

folded laundry,

planned dinner for tonight,

cleaned out the baby’s closet,

did the dishes,

took the baby and dog for a 30 minute walk,

played with the baby

and wrote this blog post.

I still have energy to spare too.  I am going to clean the house next.  I wore the baby out.  She’s already taking a nap!  So tell me, do YOU think it works?!?

I like that it has natural ingredients like green tea leaf extract and grape seed extract and it even uses natural sources like beta-carotene for it’s color.  I must warn you though, it has a bit of an after-taste but nothing gross.  I like the flavor and I’d like to try the pink lemonade kind.  It’s low in calories and contains no artificial sweeteners.  It gives you energy and immunity in one 8 ounce glass!  It’s great for moms on the go since it comes in packets that fit conveniently in your purse or gym bag.  You can check out their website here:  http://www.eboost.com/.  Give your day a natural boost, without crashing later!  I’m still going strong!

CleanWell Natural Hand Sanitizer Wipes

Have you heard of the CleanWell brand?  If not, you’ve been missing out!  CleanWell is a green company that makes a plethora of different products all designed with one thing in mind:  a natural way to kill germs.  If you have children, you will agree that you don’t want any weird chemicals to come in contact with their skin or their mouths.  Their hands are always in their mouths, eyes or anywhere else you can think of.  That’s where CleanWell products come in handy.

I received a sample of their All-Natural Hand Sanitizing Wipes in my Naturals Vox Box from Influenster.  Influenster sends out boxes of complimentary products for people to try out in exchange for their feedback. I received this vox box for free, with only my opinions given in return.

I’ve tried CleanWell’s disinfectant spray before and I love it.  It smells great and works as well as other harmful disinfectant sprays.  Needless to say, when I received the Hand Sanitizing Wipe, I had high hopes.

I love the fact that this company has a large, alcohol free wipe, which means it doesn’t dry your skin out and it won’t burn on scrapes or cuts.  It kills germs naturally and it smells wonderfully of citrus herb. As I mentioned before, it’s safe for kids and the formula moisturizes your skin.  By the way, CleanWell never tests on animals either!

CleanWell Natural Hand Sanitizer Wipes are great to throw in a diaper bag or purse for on-the-go cleaning.  I use the disinfectant spray to clean my daughter’s changing pad.  The wipes would also do well in this situation.  Check out this and their other fine products on their website:  http://www.cleanwelltoday.com/.

Add these Natural Hand Sanitizer Wipes to your daily routine and you’ll find that they are a ‘natural’ fit!  ;)

SheaMoisture Baby Bar Soap

Another great product that I want to share with you also came from the Naturals Vox Box from Influenster.  Influenster sends out free products in exchange for feedback.  My soap was complimentary, in other words.  SheaMoisture Baby Bar Soap was a nice surprise included in the box. Only certain demographics received this soap and I was glad to be one of them.  Soap really dries my skin out, since it’s so sensitive.   I have a hard time finding soap that smells good and doesn’t leave my skin dry and itchy.

SheaMoisture Baby Bar Soap really fit the bill!  It smells natural and not like a ton of fragrance.  The last thing I want to do is smell like I just took a romp in the fragrance department at Walmart.  It has ingredients like chamomile and frankincense.

It was a large bar too!  I’ve been using it since I received the box and there’s still a lot left.  I call that economical!  Honestly though, it’s a great soap and it doesn’t dry my skin out. It’s so natural that I would even use it on my baby.

You can check them out online, here:  http://www.sheamoisture.com/ and you can find them at select CVS, Target, Christmas Tree Shops and Bed, Bath and Beyond stores, among others.  If you have my same problem (or even if you just want to try a soap that doesn’t have a ton of weird ingredients and/or fragrances) you should give this soap a try.  Your skin will thank you!

The Original™ Dish Drying Mat

Around my house, my husband and I are the dishwashers.  That’s right. We have to wash everything by hand and it’s not that fun.  Needless to say, I’m always on the lookout for new, innovative things to help improve this chore.  With that said, you can imagine my excitement when I opened the Naturals Vox Box from Influenster and found The Original™ Dish Drying Mat!   Influenster sends out complimentary products in order to gain feedback.  I receive the products for free in exchange for my opinons, nothing else.  You can check them out at Influenster.com.  I am always singing their praises. I have been a member for a few years and I love the program!

I already had a dish mat before I received The Original™ Dish Drying Mat.  I bought it at a discount store so that my drying rack wouldn’t leave water all over the counter/me/the floor/insert any place water gets into here.  I can’t express how superior The Original™ Dish Drying Mat is compared to my other one.  I have given the cheap one to my mom (She wanted it.  It’s not like I just pawn everything off on her…Well…that’s another blog).

The Original™ Dish Drying Mat is super absorbant, so no more water sloshing to the floor.  It holds up to 4 times it’s weight in water.  It’s nice, soft and it folds easily to store it. It feels like it has a layer of foam in the middle to protect your dishes! It dries quickly and you can also hang it to let it dry when you store it.  Did I mention that it’s machine washable?!?

I love this mat. I use it everyday.  I even put my baby bottles on it to help them dry.   It’s inexpensive and it even has a guarantee.  What have you got to lose?  Check it out here:  The Original™ Dish Drying Mat!

It doesn’t make washing dishes fun, but then again, what really does?  ;)

Mom Vox Box!

I got my Mom Vox Box in the mail last week from Influenster, a company who sends free products in exchange for your opinions.  Here’s a photo and prepare to see a review soon for each product!

Truvía® natural sweetener Product Review

I recently received a Love Vox from Influenster (remember the photo that I posted awhile back?)  and I wanted to write a review on the first product I decided to try.  Now keep in mind that I do not receive any monetary compensation to try these products.  They send me a free product in exchange for my opinions.

I opened the box and saw that a nice sized sample of Truvia was included.  I was really excited since I have been wanting to try this for so long.  I’ve been trying to use an alternative sweetener lately and I don’t want it to have a ton of weird chemicals in it or have a chemical taste.  Truvia has fit the bill. Now there are a lot of nay-Sayers out there that think it’s not as natural as it claims but I like it and I think it’s better and healthier than Splenda, Equal, Sweet-N-Low and the like.  But again, this is my opinion, try it for yourself!

I used it to sweeten my tea and coffee.  I looked on the website (www.truvia.com) and also saw that they just came out with a Truvia Baking Blend too.  I want to try and find this so I can start cooking with it.  I was surprised at the taste and I really liked it. It doesn’t fizz when you add it to liquids like some other sweeteners and it resembles sugar.  It’s calorie-free and I didn’t need more than one packet for my drink (I usually use two packets of everything else).   They included a coupon in the sample and I intend on using it.  I am rationing the samples until I can get to the store to buy some!  :)  But yes, overall, I was really pleased with Truvia and I want to use it to make some lime aid next!  I’ll report my findings!
