Life In The Fast Lane
Fun at the Salisbury Zoo!

I don’t know about you but I love day trips!  Especially impromptu ones!  My husband decided to take a day off work yesterday and at the last minute, we decided to go to the Salisbury Zoo.  This zoo is fantastic!  I grew up going here and it just keeps getting better and better.  It is one of the only free zoos left in America too!  You can visit their website here.  They run completely on fundraisers and donations.  They always have fun events and programs and they are a great place to take a family.

My daughter loved seeing the animals too.  It was a crisp, cool day and it was a perfect zoo day.

The bison is one of my favorites.  He’s right next to the prairie dogs too but they decided to sleep late that day!

Can you see the Spectacled Owl?

The Ocelot was pacing! He was easy for my daughter to spot!  No pun intended!

This little monkey kept following us!

Can you see the Coati in this picture?  He has a long tail.

For Christmas, we adopted the otter in my mom’s name, since he’s her favorite animal.  She got her name on the Sponsor’s Board!  The baby is attempting to point to it!

It’s such a great zoo and the donations help feed the animals, as this bear suggests.

We ended the trip with a visit to the playground at the far end of the zoo.  My daughter had a great time swinging!

As you can see, we had a great time at our local zoo.  Have you taken any day trips lately?  Where would you like to locally visit?
