Life In The Fast Lane
The Many Uses of Ivory!

I recently had the pleasure of testing Ivory Bar Soap!  I belong to a website called Influenster, that sends me free products to try out and then give my opinions on them.  I received a bar of Ivory Soap in the Mom Vox Box.  When I was little, we could never use Ivory soap because my family was allergic to it.  So unfortunately, I can’t shower with it.  I can, however, use it a number of other ways!

Ivory Soap is so versatile!  It makes a great bar soap but did you also know that it can be used:

~As a makeup brush cleaner!  Just rub your brush on the bar and rinse.  There you have it, a cheap, easy makeup brush cleaner!  This is how I used my bar.  I was so happy to find an alternative to expensive brush cleaners.  And it works really well.

~For a carving medium!  Carve some soap animals for the bathroom or whatever your heart desires!

~A science project!  Put it in the microwave for two minutes and watch it grow!  The best part?  After it cools, you can still wash with it or use it how you want!

~For liquid soap!  You can grate the bar and follow my recipe for liquid soap (found in a previous post.)  It’s easy, fun and cheaper than buying liquid soap!

~As a stain remover!  Rub the bar on the stain as a pre-treater.  Then follow the garment’s wash instructions!

What other uses can have you tried or thought of for Ivory Soap? Did you also know that Ivory has a Facebook community where ‘moms can share tips with one another on ways to simplify life for themselves and their families’.

It’s so pure (99.44%, to be exact) that it floats!  I really like the endless amount of uses and the fact that you can find it at so many stores.  Mass retailers, like Walmart and Target sell it as well as grocery stores and drug stores.  A 10 pack of Ivory Bar Soap only costs around $4.49, so what are you waiting for?  Go grab a bar and tell me what you used yours for!
